Product Designer, UX/UI and AI

Digital experiences shaped by real needs.

I'm Elisabeth Saehr, a product designer in Lausanne. I find out what people actually need, design the experience that answers it, and use AI to build and test real products, not just mockups.

01Selected work

Case studies

Each project starts with the people who will use it. These stories show the research, the decisions and what changed because of them.

Symio

Turning “I don't remember” into a clear story for your doctor.

A calm symptom journal for people living with chronic illness. I led it alone, from interviews to a working iOS app built with AI, now in beta with real testers.

02Approach

Start with people. Ship something real.

The same five steps guide every project, whether it is a website, a SaaS platform or an iOS app.

  1. 01

    Listen

Interviews, surveys and benchmarks to understand how people actually live with the problem, not how a product expects them to.

  2. 02

    Frame

Personas, user flows and sitemaps, then a short list of jobs and principles that every screen is checked against.

  3. 03

    Design

From wireframes to tested high-fidelity prototypes, with design systems in Figma and accessibility built in from the start.

  4. 04

    Build

With AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code and Lovable, I turn designs into working products, so people test real features instead of static mockups.

  5. 05

    Validate

Moderated and unmoderated tests, card sorting, tree testing and A/B tests. What does not earn its place gets removed.

AI, two ways

AI is both my toolkit and my material.

  • AI in how I work

I write the product and design rules first, then build with AI one task at a time and check every change against them. That is how Symio went from an insight to a working iOS app with a single designer.

  • AI in what I design

When AI belongs in the product itself, I design it like any other feature: start from the need, decide what the AI does and what stays with the person, and make its results easy to understand and easy to correct.

03Outcomes

05About

From marketing to design.

My roots are in marketing, mostly in the humanitarian sector, where I spent years on campaigns meant to make a positive difference.

Along the way I fell for design: not just how things look, but how they feel, connect and tell a story. Today I lead research, shape interfaces and build with AI, from Lausanne.
